A trademark can reveal a name an applicant wants to protect. It cannot establish that a product exists, what its specifications will be, or when it will ship. A useful reading method keeps two evidence trails: the intellectual-property record and the product announcement.
Start by preserving the exact mark, applicant and application number. Add the class, listed goods or services, procedural status and announcement dates. Open the underlying official entry rather than relying on a similar name in a headline, and record the access date because status can change.
Then ask a separate question: who has announced the product? Look for the manufacturer's own newsroom or product page. For a regulated vehicle claim, match the named manufacturer and model code against the relevant official vehicle announcement. A filing, a test-vehicle photograph and a retail launch each establish different things.
The Xiaomi SU9 LUX report is a useful caution. IT Home's October 19 article says the mark entered a preliminary announcement stage and connects it with speculation about a possible executive-class vehicle. Its passages give dates for the announcement and opposition window. We read the report but did not independently match the individual official application, so its status and dates remain attributed to IT Home. This check established no Xiaomi product launch, specification or schedule.
Before repeating a headline, create one row per claim: what is asserted, which source could establish it, what that source actually says, and what remains unresolved. Preserve words such as reportedly, may and expected. Repetition across news sites or a hot-list rank does not convert speculation into a manufacturer statement.
